Minelayer

The most common use of the term „minelayer“ is a naval ship used for deploying sea mines. A naval minelayer can vary considerably in size, from coastal boats of several hundred tonnes in displacement to destroyer ships of several thousand tonnes displacement. In my game minelayer is a destroyer.

Destroyer is a fast, maneuverable, long-endurance warship intended to escort larger vessels in a fleet, convoy or battle group and defend them against smaller powerful short-range attackers.

In my game they look like this:

Can the submarine play on the brown-yellow squares?

Yes and no !

The submarine can only attack ships located in the bases or in the brown-yellow fields. BUT you lose the submarine. You destroy the enemy ship but your submarine leaves the game too. Only these three ships can always use the yellow-brown squares – minelayer, minesweeper and desant ship (landing craft).

Example 1

Sink a landing ship and you lose the submarine!

Example 2

Sink a minelayer ship and you lose the submarine!

Marine bases?

Several times I mentioned, but I did not write anything. These are two game fields with special rules.

1. Only desant ships can enter the bases .
2. Only a submarine can attack a ship in the bases. You sink the ship, but you lose the submarine.
3. Both marine bases are neutral. When you place a ship in it, this base becomes yours.
4. You can capture the two bases.
5. The desant ship can attack from the bases.
